A Mitsubishi high wall heat pump is ideal for bedrooms as it is extremely quiet, at only 19db on its lowest fan speed. My clients in Mt Maunganui love the new Mitsubishi heat pump and can sleep easy on those very hot nights.

This house was built by my clients years ago in Mt Maunganui and the master bedroom upstairs suffered from the heat in the summer. This architecturally designed home with beautiful curved internal walls could really benefit from a Mitsubishi heat pump to keep them cool.

Most bedroom heat pump installations that we face only need the smallest size heat pump, but this one with its high ceilings, and large size needed the next size up: the Mitsubishi MSZ-GL35VGD which has 3.7KW heating and 3.5KW cooling capacities, and is the latest release from Mitsubishi Electric.

The installation was a little tricky, moving the indoor unit inwards from the wall and centering it over the doorway with a piece of capping at the rear in the wardrobe, out of view.

The outdoor unit was positioned on the unused deck, a few meters away, so there was little sound affecting the occupants while sleeping. We always try to position the outdoor unit as far away from where a person is sleeping to minimise noise disruption.
