The heat pump in the church in Mt Maunganui wasn’t working and we were called out to investigate. Fault codes were flashing on the indoor unit LED’s, and we went to the roof to determine why there was a communication error between the indoor unit and outdoor unit. There were quite a few outdoor units of the same model on the roof, so a little tricky to determine which one it was!

The outdoor circuit board had failed and needed to be replaced. It was located on the roof in Mt Maunganui with no anti-corrosion protection to any of the outdoor electronics or metal. As you can see by the photos there is a lot of rust and corrosion showing.

I much prefer having the outdoor units installed on the ground for ease of maintenance. A Mitsubishi outdoor circuit board was ordered, installed, and tested.

A good result even though the heat pump is quite a few years old.
