?> Heat Pump Installations in Tauranga & Bay of Plenty

Diamond Air has installed a Mitsubishi MSZ-GL25VGD  heat pump into a bedroom in an Ohauiti, Tauranga, home. Rated at 3.2 KW for heating and 2.5 KW for cooling, this heat pump is ideally suited for an average sized double bedroom and will provide year-round comfort.

The indoor heat pump unit is purposely situated opposite a doorway, so the airflow is directed through the open door and down the hall. Air doesn’t like going around corners, but we’ve found that if it is directly opposite a doorway, you can get more out of your heat pump.

Ceiling mounted heat pump cassettes are a less well-known cousin to the high wall heat pump, but offer some great advantages. We've just installed two Mitsubishi heat pump cassettes into a Tauranga home.

Prior to the heat pump installation, the only heating in the home came from a gas fire place in the lounge. Now, most of this large home has heating/cooling thanks to these ceiling mounted cassettes.

Diamond Air was called out to a Mt Maunganui, Bay of Plenty, property for a Mitsubishi heat pump repair recently. On inspection, we discovered that this 9-year-old GE50 Mitsubishi heat pump needed a new compressor and a new circuit board installed into the outside condenser.

The parts had failed due to their age and is to be expected as general wear and tear over time. Otherwise, the heat pump was in great condition – a testament to Mitsubishi Electic's superior technology and build quality. You can see the evidence of this is the photo gallery below.

Power surge likely cause of fault in Panasonic heat pump

This Paengaroa Kindergarten had a Panasonic CU-E15GKR (5.5KW heating) heat pump which we attended to due to it not working. We quickly noted that the Panasonic indoor unit had no power; it had an electronic fault on the indoor PCB. There was a lot of stormy weather before it faulted so it is likely that there was a power spike and this blew up the board.
